Synopsis
Three communities around the world and their responses to economic and environmental emergencies are outlined in this documentary. Doctors in Gaza, worried they could lose patients during energy blackouts caused by air strikes, form a rally to demand the use of solar energy.
In the Rhineland, a region in western Germany where the use of coal and other fossil fuels is gaining momentum, environmentalists are advocating the use of clean energy. In war-torn, oil-rich Arauca in central-eastern Colombia, communities have been building a peace process from the bottom up in order to continue to enjoy their ancestral lands.
