Synopsis

David Aames (Cruise), a handsome, wealthy and charismatic New York City publishing executive, appears to lead a charmed life. But despite his enchanting existence, he seems to be missing something.

One night, David meets the girl of his dreams and loses her by making one mistake. After a car accident that hideously disfigures his face, David finds himself on a mind-bending search for his soul and discovers the precious, ephemeral nature of true love.
