Synopsis

Hemlock Grove, Pennsylvania is a mixed community of extreme wealth and poverty. The closing down of the town’s steel mill years earlier caused many to lose their jobs. The two main sources of employment are now the Hemlock Acres Hospital and Godfrey Institute for Biomedical Technologies. The institute is run by the powerful Godfrey family and is rumored to be conducting experiments of a sinister nature on a daily basis.

The rumors become even more twisted after two teenage girls are brutally killed and their bodies are discovered the next day. Peter Rumancek, who is a 17-year-old Gypsy, is suspected of committing the crimes and he is also rumored to be a werewolf. While Rumancek is actually a werewolf, he did not kill those girls and teams up with Roman, the heir to the Godfrey estate, to solve the case.
