The Darwin Awards

Synopsis

A comedic look at the people who risk their lives pursuing a crazy idea, only to wind up improving the human race by removing themselves from the gene pool, and thus earning a "Darwin Award."

Michael Burrows (Joseph Fiennes) is a brilliant but overly cautious forensic detective, who decides to turn his fascination with the Awards into an avocation. He is paired with Siri Taylor (Winona Ryder), a take-no-prisoners insurance claims investigator, and together they take a road trip to see if they can create a personality profile of potential Darwin Awards types.
