Reese Hartwig (sometimes credited as Reese C. Hartwig), was born in Glendale, Arizona and lived there until he was eight. His family, including brother and fellow actor Ryan Hartwig, moved to California when their father started Picture Car Warehouse, a company that supplies cars to movies. Reese and his father share a love of collecting cars from movies. He already owns a 57 Chevy, a 1999 Porsche 911 Carrera and a General Lee from the television series The Dukes of Hazzard.
Reese’s other interests include comedy and the medical field. He would like to appear on Saturday Night Live, just like his mentors: Will Ferrell, Jim Carrey and the late Chris Farley. Outside of the entertainment field, Reese aspires to be a plastic surgeon, after hearing about what can be done in the field from his mother, who worked as a receptionist in a plastic surgeon’s office. He’d also like to focus on learning reconstructive surgery for charitable work.
Reese caught the acting bug after seeing the sets and famous people when he accompanied his dad who dropped cars off to film sets such as Transformers and Fast and Furious. At 10, he auditioned for and landed an acting part in a music video and in 2009, he made a guest appearance on the television show NCIS.
Reese’s next movie, the 2010 short film Goofyfoot, won an Audience Award at the Valley Film Festival. He went on to play roles in the television movie The Incybers, on the television series BrainSurge, in the short film The Death of Toys as lead character Seth and in the movie The Death of Socrates.
Things heated up in 2011 for Reese with an an uncredited role in the new The Muppets movie. He was also cast for voice work in his favorite video game The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, playing all the young male characters in the video game, adding up to an impressive 20 characters in total.
Reese plays Munch, a shy boy in the 2014 film Earth to Echo and he has also completed a role opposite Steve Carell in Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good Very Bad Day as Elliott, a boy who teases the lead character Alexander.
