Synopsis

Former beauty queen and prom queen Leanne Miller (Linda Cardellini) is a 36-year-old wife and mother who is fed up with her unglamorously average lifestyle. She decides to change her life around by coming up with a nefarious plot to get herself and her family into the limelight.

She arranges to have her ex-boyfriend, Billy (Skeet Ulrich) and his ex-con buddy, Jebidiah (Craig Robinson), kidnap Leanne's 11-year-old daughter, Patty (Ursula Parker). Just for a month. Maybe two. As long as it keeps Leanne in front of the cameras and in the news. All Leanne has to worry about is keeping a local journalist (Kristen Schaal) and Sheriff (Patrick Warburton) from sticking their noses too far into the case.
