I Am the Pretty Thing That Lives in the House (Netflix)

Synopsis

A young nurse named Lily (Ruth Wilson) is hired to care for Iris Bloom (Paula Prentiss), an elderly woman who also happens to be the best-selling author of ghost stories. Iris is ailing and has opted to live out her last days in her beloved country manor, a home that also houses a horrific ghost story all its own.

As Lily learns more about Iris, she begins to believe that Iris' latest novel (called The Lady in the Walls) contains dark clues about her own fate. Her sanity is pulled into question and she wonders if the shadows she sees in the home are more than they appear to be.
