Ousmane Diakité is a black police lieutenant in the economically strapped suburbs of Bobigny, near Paris. During a car chase, he crashes his car and is mistaken for the assailant by his fellow police officers.
The next day, Eponine Chaligny, the wife of a business tycoon, is found dead under a bridge in Bobigny. Paris police captain François Monge, who was born with a silver spoon in his mouth, is assigned to the case along with Diakité. The two mismatched cops have to work together to solve the crime.
