Synopsis

After being instructed to hunt by her mother, Young Piper, a sandpiper hatchling, leaves her nest for the first time in search of food. However, she discovers that the world can be a daunting place. She's scared of the elements that stand between her and her food buried in sand. When she meets an unusual ally, though, she musters the courage to face her fears and fend for herself.
