Synopsis
Gedeone, an itinerant showman, and Almerina, his daughter and assistant, trek across Italy in search of a place to stay. Seeking shelter from a storm, they hunker down in a cave, where they meet an old hibernating bear. To keep the bear in good humor, Gedeone and Almerina tell him the story of Léonce, the King of the bears, who one day discovered the world of men while searching for his son Tonio, who was kidnapped by hunters in the mountains of Sicily.
