Synopsis

To support his four younger half-brothers and half-sisters, Benjamin Malaussène, 30, gets a job as a professional scapegoat in the customer service department of a Parisian department store, a thankless job that consists of being yelled at by his manager in an effort to get angry customers to pity him and withdraw their complaints. However, when telling his siblings about what he does all day, Benjamin gives a much more heroic version of what goes on at work. As the holidays approach, a series of fatal bombings occur. The victims are employees who were once involved in a dark case of child abduction. When Benjamin becomes the main suspect, he tries to save himself by finding the real killer with the help of Julia, a journalist investigating the presence of cameras in the store’s fitting rooms.
