Synopsis

Frustrated and desperately unhappy with her boring, loveless, middle class marriage, Heather Thompson (Kristin Kreuk) finds change at a nightclub in the form of hard-partying drug addict Lloyd Buist (Adam Sinclair). The pair almost instantly fall for each other but as their relationship progresses, so do their drug habits. And since they’re almost always high around each other, Heather is forced to face the ultimate question: do they really love each other or is it just the drugs?

Meanwhile, Lloyd, who owes money to a shady character named Solo, gets involved in a drug smuggling operation that goes terribly wrong.

The film is based on the controversial best-selling book, Ecstasy, by Scottish author Irvine Welsh.
