China Anne McClain Biography:

China Anne McClain

Date of Birth: August 25, 1998

Born in Decatur, Georgia to musician parents Michael and Shontell McClain, China Anne McClain began performing at a young age with her two older sisters, Sierra and Lauryn.

China Anne was discovered when she sang a song for a family friend, Ian Burke, who had been invited to dinner at their home. He called a director who was looking for a girl who could act and sing in his movie, The Gospel. China Anne auditioned for and landed the role, making her feature film debut at the age of six. Her sisters also appeared in the film as members of the children's choir.

From there, China Anne booked roles in two Tyler Perry films and the video A Dennis the Menace Christmas, playing the role of Margaret. In 2009, Disney took notice of China Anne when she played a guest role on an episode of Hannah Montana. She then made several appearances on the Disney Channel series Jonas, which she remembers fondly, because Nick Jonas gave her a guitar as a gift. She also played a recurring role in two episodes of Wizards of Waverly Place before getting a starring role on the Disney Channel series A.N.T. Farm, which ran for three seasons from 2011 to 2014.

China Anne has also played roles in Adam Sandler's feature film Grown Ups, and the sequel, Grown Ups 2. When A.N.T. Farm concluded in 2014, she was chosen to play the starring role in their TV movie How to Build a Better Boy.

When not acting, China Anne continues to perform and record with her sisters. She also has a little brother. In her spare time, China Anne loves reading and drawing.
